Not far from Les Saintes-Maries de la Mer, run a small sand track bordered by
rose-laurel and scented flowers. It leads to Mas de la Fouque. A mixture of
beauty, tranquility and hospitality. The light is striking. The buildings are
low and immaculately white. Open your windows and listen-not a sound, except for
the comforting sound of nature. The marshes and ponds are inhabited by wild duck,
teal, herons and sandpipers, and white egrets and pink flamingos fly around the
tiny islets.
As you arrive at Mas de la Fouque, you get the feeling you are somewhere out of
this world. The air from the sea contrasts with the warmth of majestuous sun.
The grounds are punctuated with patches of marsh and drainage ditches known as
roubines. Tamarisks, Olive trees, umbrella pines and unbelievable wealth of
animal life. It is here that two natives welcome you to their own miniature
paradise inviting you to share the Camargue they love.
The Mas de la Fouque offers 12 rooms and 5 suites all magnificently decorated,
