Hostellerie La Poularde is a former post house, dating back to 1732, located in
the heart of the plaine du Forez, 27 Kms. from Saint-Etienne, in a small village
with 4500 inhabitants, Montrond-les-Bains.
The hotel is owned by the Etéocle-Randoing family, originally a coaching inn and
its original character has been preserved. Its rooms, decorated in both
traditional and modern styles, open on to an interior flower-decked patio. Three
suites with terraces look out on to the swimming pool. The hotel's cuisine,
under the hand of Gilles Etéocle (named France's Worker of the Year) offers
guests the opportunity to discover, in addition to the range of wines, a variety
of dishes which respect tradition and which vary according to the season.
Situated opposite the casino, in the centre of the spa resort of Montrond-les-Bains,
