Chateau de la Tour du Roy is set in the 11th century ramparts of Vervins. A warm
welcome is assured from the host, who has lovingly restored this building over
the past 33 years. Now fully refurbished, bedrooms boast spectacular views of
the valley and 4 of the antique-style bathrooms have Jacuzzi baths, whilst the
suite found high in the tower is a true gem. The dining room is home to stunning
antiques and is clad in wood and marble, making this an inviting setting in
which to sample some of Madame Annie's renowned cuisine. In this chateau was
where Henry IV's ascension to the throne was announced. |
