On the road to the world renowned Mont Saint-Michel and close
to the medieval city of Fougères, which has excellent restaurants, is this
impressive mansion, the château de la Foltière, standing in the middle of a
magnificent park of 20 hectares: The Floral Park of Upper Brittany . The Chateau
is difficult to find but once you do you have a chateau to yourself!!! The
chateau is lovely and inviting. The rooms are very large and beautiful. The
owners of that superb residence invite you to enjoy your stay in one of five
very comfortable spacious guest rooms that let you benefit from a delightful
surrounding and a stunning view over the gardens. Both a monumental staircase
and an elevator provide access to the rooms upstairs.
The visit of the "Parc Floral de Haute Bretagne" is free for all guests. Just a
short drive away: Visit the Castle of Fougères (10 Km), the mannerist gardens of
the Castle of Ballue, the Mont St Michel, St Malo, Jersey Island...
Tearoom open to visitors every afternoon from April 20 to September 20, in the
ground floor rooms of the castle and on the terrace. Picnic area available to
visitors inside the Floral Park of High Brittany on a purposely laid out area
shaded by apple trees and a roofed shelter for when it is raining. And there is
a playground area for children near the entrance of the Floral Park, a garden -
the Robinson's garden - is dedicated to children. |

Take the A11 to Le Mans, the A81/N157 to
Rennes.

Take the A84 north direction Le Mont St-Michel,
exit 30 onto the N12 direction Fougères.

5.5 Kmss right on D105, left on D17 into
Le Châtellier. Le Parc Floral de Haute
Bretagne is signposted.
From Dinard or St. Malo:
Take the D155 direction Fougères. Turn
left onto D105 3 Kms. past St-Etienne-en-Coglès,
left again on D17 to Le Châtellier and
Le Parc. |
