Chateau de Monhoudou is situated on the borders of Perche, Normandie and Maine,
nature and history have combined to preserve this lush area of ancient parkland.
Chateau de Monhoudou is a veritable jewel of the XVIth-XVIIIth centuries,
nestling in its green surroundings since 1625 like a treasure hidden in a velvet
box. The castle grounds with their age-old trees, the horses, sheep, swans and
peacoks will all join Michel and Marie-Christine in giving you the warmest of
welcomes at the château, where time will stand still...
The chateau let at your disposal 6 beautiful rooms. All individually designed,
each bedroom has a fully equipped bathroom with either a bath or a shower (or
sometimes both). |

From Paris:
Take motorway A11, exit La ferté
Bernard, toward Mamers (D2).
After St-Cosmes-en-Vairais, take a left
toward Monce then head towards Monhoudou.
From Alençon:
Take the N138 towards Le Mans until La
Hutte. Once there, go towards Mamers
(D310); Drive 10 Kms. then turn right at
the sign indicating Les Mées. At
Courgains, go towards Monhoudou.
From Rennes-Nantes Motorway A11:
Exit Le Mans Nord then take the N
138 towards Alençon until La Hutte. At
La Hutte, go towards Mamers (D310);
Drive 10 Kms. then turn right at the
sign indicating Les Mées. At Courgains,

In memory of the philosopher Bernard de Fontenelle, our
great uncle (known as the great Fontenelle) situated in
the centre of the chateau, this inviting room with it's
four poster bed, also has a small 'bateau-lit' for an
extra person, and a beautiful bathroom with both a bath
and a shower. |
