Chateau Meyre located in the heart of Medoc, between the vineyards of Moulis &
Margaux, This Chateau has been planted with vines for more than 3 centuries. In
1876, the estate was listed among the best growths in Avensan, and the 1932
classification upgraded it to a Cru Bourgeois. During the past few years, this
18th century chateau has been restored to capture its original character and
magnificence.
The estate covers 17 hectares of the best plots of land near Avensan, 30 Kms.
north of Bordeaux. In 1992, the domain was expanded to the Margaux area through
the acquisition of 2 hectares of vines around the village of Soussans. These 2
very distinct "terroirs" produce a Cru Bourgeois Haut-Medoc & a Margaux.
Chateau Meyre welcomes guests from March to November where they have the
opportunity to discover the pleasures of wine tasting and French gastronomy in
an elegant countryside setting. The 9 deluxe rooms combine modern facilities
with traditional decor. It is the perfect place for the exploration of the
Bordeaux wine region. All of the rooms are decorated in warm colours with a mix
of antiques & traditional countryside furnishing. Every room has an ensuite
bathroom with bath or shower. |

turn on your right direction Avensan,
and follow the way during about 500 Mts.
