Chateau de Lassalle is a bit different from many others. The Chatelier (owner)
is a former Parisian advertising man who decided to move to the countryside, so
he bought this old chateau, refurbished it completely, and opened it as a hotel.
But he put his personal touch into it, especially in the rooms, they are some of
the most spacious and contemporary comfortable to be found in a chateau-hotel
like this. He used pine wood, thick carpets and adjoining twin beds made as king
size beds. All of this provides for a feeling almost as if you were in an
American chateau. As for the rest, it’s a chateau as typical as any other. The
kitchen is run by the chatelier’s wife who does a pretty good job at it. In the
wine cellar you will find a selection of the best wines produced in South West
France and a complete range of Armagnac brandies, which we shall be pleased to
invite you taste.
Chateau de Lassalle overall is an experience you will not forget and most
important, with no regrets, only good memories of a nice comfortable place in a
lovely location surrounded by a wood park and near a lot of interesting places
worthwhile visiting. |
