Chateau de Floure was transformed into a hotel in 1991 by its present owners.
Madame Assous is there full time running the place, her husband has his practice
in Paris and comes for the weekends. Chateau de Floure is quite charming,
specially the “accueil” (Welcome in French) and the gardens which are an
absolute work of art similar to those found in the famous Loire Valley chateaux
but in a smaller scale. The room are each one different, almost hard to describe
in detail, so if possible, after you arrive at the hotel, no matter which room
you booked, ask to see whatever others available, because you might want to
change your mind... They also have two suites, these are extremely large, more
like apartments, specially suite No. 2 which is approximately 1,400 feet square
and if desired can be connected to Suite No. 1, composing both together, an area
of over 2,000 square feet with enough bedding for 10 people. The restaurant of
this chateau is also quite recommendable, there is a typical dish from the
region called “Le Cassoulet”. |

Carcassonne:
Once you get to Carcassonne on the auto route, get off at Carcassonne-est
and take the direction to Narbonne (road N 113), about 12 Kms. after, you
will see a sign with the name of the chateau, turn right after the sign
and right again at the bridge, once in the village, simply follow the
signs to the chateau. |

Cancellation Policy
Notice of cancellation without penalties : at least one
fortnight (14 days) before arrival date. Cancellation made after
the term fixed above give rise to compensation as follows : -
between 13 and 10 days : payment of the first night reserved -
between 9 and 6 days : payment of 60% of the nights reserved -
between 5 days and the date of arrival : payment of 100% of the
nights reserved. |
