Château de Crazannes is located on the left bank of the Charente, in the middle
of a peaceful park with its hundred year-old trees. Château de Crazannes is a
classified historical monument from the end of the 14th century, one of the
oldest homes of the Saintonge. However, the site was already occupied in the
11th century by a powerful fortress of which a chapel, for a long time was the
parish church. You have the possibility of renting on a weekly basis, either the
whole site or the Castle, the keep, or the cottage independently. There are
eight high standard bedrooms, of which two are suites to welcome you. All rooms
have private bathroom. A heated swimming pool and a sixteen acre forested park
are also at your disposal. Château de Crazannes is located in the district of
Poitou-Charentes, at 280 miles (460 Kms.) southwest of Paris, between the cities
of Bordeaux, La Rochelle and Cognac.This superb estate, full of historical
memories, will provide those in search of calm and romanticism with a perfect
setting. |

The Cottage:
The Relais du Château is a delightful cottage built in local
style situated in the Château park. This very spacious and
beautifully decorated house has a large private garden. On the
ground floor is a large living/dining room, a kitchen, a double
bedroom, a bathroom with toilets. On the first floor there are a
master double bedroom, a twin with an en suite shower room, a
bunk bedroom, a bathroom and separate toilets.

The Keep:
The original 11th century fortified tower, has been restored to
a high standard of comfort, and enjoys a sunny terrace at the
top of the tower, (care must be taken here with small children),
with views far over the surrounding forest and countryside. 3
bedrooms all with en suite bathrooms and private toilets, large
sitting room, dining room and kitchen.

The Château has been beautifully restored, with great
care taken to preserve its authentic atmosphere. With the use of
the heated swimming pool common to the site. Fully equipped

The Garden House:
This little cottage is tucked away
behind some trees in the grounds of the Chateau de Crazannes,
and overlooks the heated swimming pool. It is very comfortable
and enjoys its own front terrace. 1 double room, bathroom with
