Chateau des Avenieres located halfway between Annecy and Geneva on the slopes of
the Salève. This Chateau benefit from an astonishing panoramic view and an
exciting environment. From its rich past, the Chateau has retained an aura of
mystery, a strange and complex symbolism that invites infinite reverie.
It was built at the beginning of the century by a wealthy American woman and its
layout, designed by a great Hindu, initiates with somewhat extravagant ambitions,
the Chateau des Avenières has always been the subject of intense curiosity.
Originally owned by the Chartreux of Pomier, Les Avenières were just humble
clearings dedicated to the cultivation of oats. They probably would have
remained anonymous if… if on a beautiful summer afternoon, Mary Wallace
Schillito had not discovered it while visiting the Salève with some friends.
Now restored, the tranquil and serene Chateau of today is a hotel full of charm,
offering services of the highest standards, devoted to tranquillity, harmony and
the pleasures of life: luxurious rooms, princely lounges, and classical cuisine
... all with the plesure of a magnificent view! |
