The Abbaye de Sainte Croix
is a magnificient XII Century abbey located on one the last
strongholds of the Alpilles hills, and this romanesque monastery was
restored from 1960 to 1970 to reach the standard of a four stars
hotel.
Today, the Abbey offers the same peace and quiet of the past, when
monks needed absolute tranquility for their prayers and meditation,
and now it allows guests enjoy their stay.
The bedrooms, tastefully fixed up in the monks´ cells, harmonize
perfectly with the Romanesque architecture of the building. No two
are the same, and if one has south-facing terrace, another will be
off the beautiful Chapel courtyard.
In the dining room has large bay windows with a view, and in nice
weather meals are served on the terrace. In the same way, in summer
we propose a simple lunch service by the pool, reserved for hotel
guests only. |

Avignon, Paris on the Autoroute A7 or N
7:
Take the first Salon exit on the
Autoroute A7, this will bring you onto
the main road. Arriving in Salon, at the
first traffic light go left, direction
of the hospital, Abbaye de Sainte Croix.
At the first traffic circle go left,
direction Aurons, Abbaye de Sainte Croix.
The Abbaye de Sainte Croix is 3
kilometers along this road (D16).
From Aix en
Provence, Marseille on the A7, N 113 or
D 572:
Take the first Salon exit then Salon
center if you are on the Autoroute A7 (the
different routes meet at the entrance to
Salon). Arriving in Salon, take the
direction of the hospital, Avignon,
Abbaye de Sainte Croix. After the
hospital, at the first traffic light
turn right in the direction of Pelissane,
Abbaye de Sainte Croix. To the left at
the following traffic circle in the
direction of Aurons, Abbaye de Sainte
Croix. The Abbaye de Sainte Croix is 3
kilometers along on this road (D16).
From Arles,
Nimes on the A54, N 113:
Take the first Salon exit then Salon
center if you are on the Autoroute A54 (the
different routes meet at the entrance of
Salon). Arriving in Salon, take
direction "centre ville", then left at
the "Hotel de ville" (city hall),
direction Pelissane, Abbaye de Sainte
Croix. Pass two traffic lights and at
the following traffic circle go left,
direction Aurons, Abbaye de Sainte Croix.
